Camping Guernsey

Guernsey gives you a truly island feeling with the best of both worlds.

With its mild climate, laid-back atmosphere, peaceful country lanes and lovely coastline, Guernsey offers you something that is sometimes familiar, sometimes reminiscent of neighbouring France, but always unique. A wonderful combination of ocean and lush countryside, the Bailiwick of Guernsey offers lots to do, from energetic coasteering, cliff walks, sailing and kayaking to the relaxation of swimming in sea pools, or the discovery of the island’s history and culture.

Do you want to explore ancient forts and wartime bunkers, or visit a Victorian walled garden or a working coppersmith? How about crossing to the tiny island of Sark, for a walk or horse-drawn carriage tour, or little Alderney? A sculpture trail in the grounds of an old manor house, or a nature walk and a trip to an old gun emplacement? A round of golf, or a morning at a leisure centre with swimming, sport, a gym session or a sauna? It’s all here on this enchanting gem of an island.

Please note, Guernsey law limits camping stays on the island to 30 days or less, and there are also necessary limits on vehicle size.

Vaugrat

Vaugrat thumb

Vaugrat is set amongst the spacious grounds of a traditional 18th century farmhouse, and is about a half mile walk away from Port Grat beach, local shops and restaurants. Traffic is slow, as is the pace of life, and buses will get you out and about around the whole island. There is plenty to visit on Guernsey, and you can also take a boat trip for a day out on the nearby islands of Sark or Alderney.
