What's inside the safari tent?

Our Ready Camp tents comprise of two seperate bedrooms & an open plan living/dining area, it oozes with little bits of camping luxury including a double bed (yes a real bed with a real mattress!) triple bunk bed (double with a single on top) and a single stow away bed.

A kitchen area with a fridge, microwave and hob, along with basic cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

There are also lights, a comfy settee and a heater to keep you cosy.

Not forgetting to mention a dining table where you can wine and dine to your hearts content… feel free to bring your table onto your decking and enjoy your grub alfresco style.

And don't worry, although we don't have toilet, shower or dishwashing areas in the tent, you can find these facilities on the campsite.

We’ve even included a torch – for the midnight toilet trips, or just to make funny shadows on the tent!

What facilities are on-site?

Our campsites all have a toilet and shower block and water points along with dishwashing areas as a minimum. Each site varies in terms of other on-site facilities, for more information have a nosey at the campsite page.

Is there a sink in the tent?

In our Ready Camp tents we have everything, but the kitchen sink!

You can access dishwashing, toilet and shower facilities on the campsite. And to help a little we do provide washing up bowls in the tent so you can easily carry your dirty utensils and cutlery to the facilities block.

Can I stay for just 1 or 2 nights?

Ready Camp tents are so cosy that we simply can't allow 1 or 2 night stays; please settle in and make yourself at home for a minimum of 3 nights. To make sure that everything is shipshape, we have set days for welcoming new guests so your stay will start on a Monday, Friday or Saturday. Here's a handy guide to when you can stay:

3 night stays commence on a Friday (Friday – Monday)

4 Night stays commence on a Monday (Monday – Friday)

7 night stays can start on a Monday, Friday or Saturday

10 night stays commence on a Friday

And last but not least; 14 night stays can start on a Monday, Friday or Saturday.

How will I know which is my tent?

On arrival at the campsite reception you will be met by our friendly team who will be eagerly awaiting your arrival and will show you to your Ready Camp tent.

Are there tables and chairs?

There is a table with six chairs in the tent that you can move out on to your decking if you wish.

What about charging my phone etc?

There is a socket where you can charge electrical devices, so there’s no excuse not to take some fantastic pictures of your stay in our Ready Camp tent - click click click!

How is the tent and property left, is it secured?

Ready Camp is a tent, so no ‘Yale’ locks are included. As with all holiday destinations we would strongly recommend that you take any personal belongings with you when you leave your accommodation.

Can I bring my pet(s)?

We love a good old family pet, whether it’s a cat, dog, rabbit, bird or something of the scaly kind. However in the interest of all of our Ready Campers, we are unable to accept pets in the Ready Camp tents.

We are unable to accept pets in the Ready Camp tents with the exception of essential disability assistance dogs.

Please note - pets are not permitted to stay in pup tents or “in the car”.

Is there any heating?

Nights under the stars can sometimes be “a wee bit chilly”. Don’t let this put you off though, we’ve thought of everything. If you’re a cold blooded warm hearted kind of person, we have a lovely little heater to help take away the chill. Though please remember to bring your warm fluffy blankets & hot water bottles as temperatures do drop when sleeping under canvas.

Here’s the health and safety bit…you are unable to bring your own heaters into the Ready Camp tent.

Can we have a BBQ?

Camping isn’t camping without a BBQ! (Though don’t forget you have a kitchen in your Ready Camp tent too… you’ll be the envy of all others!)

If you fancy your sausages sizzling on a BBQ, please just remember to MAKE SURE YOU DO IT SAFELY, AWAY FROM THE TENT, please be kind to the Ready Camp decking; by not placing it on or anywhere near the wood!

REMEMBER: Never use a fuel-burning appliance inside the tent or canopy, leave the BBQ outside when you are finished as hot BBQ’s are dangerous and can be lethal.

Can we have a campfire?

We know a cheeky campfire can warm our cockles on a chilly night… & there’s the toasted marshmallow on a stick we all love to dabble with… however sadly we do not permit open campfires on any of our sites. So make sure you pack some warm fluffy blankets, and if you really want to toast your marshmallows – why not pop them over the BBQ?

How many cars can I bring and where do I park?

Every Ready Camp tent has one allocated parking space close to your tent. If you’re travelling in convoy and require additional car parking, further parking spaces are usually available near to the site reception (subject to availability).

Are Ready Camp tents wheelchair accessible?

We have a number of tents with handy ramps that can be fitted to allow for wheelchair access including - Kelvedon Hatch, Luss, Scone, Slapton Sands, Kessingland, Cambridge, Hertford, Drayton Manor, Theobalds , Veryan, Sandringham, Sheriff Hutton.

Unfortunately, this is not possible at all locations. The best course of action is to give us a quick call on 024 7647 5426 before booking to confirm the accessibility of your preferred site.

Will there be Wi-Fi coverage in the tent?

Most of our sites offer free Wi-Fi, making it a convenient way to stay in touch with friends and family and check travel information. Crowden, West Runton and Bracelands are the only sites that do not offer Wi-Fi.

What happens if something breaks?

The only thing we envisage you breaking is your heart as you really won’t want to leave! However IF you accidently break or damage anything, please don’t let it spoil your stay. Just let one of our on-site team know so they can provide a replacement.

In some circumstances there may be a charge for damage.

Can we bring an extra “pup” or small tent?

The Ready Camp tents are pre-erected on pitches that are designed for one tent and one tent only, so we can't allow a pup or small tent. The Ready Camp tents are 5m x 5m so you will have plenty of room.

Can I bring my own tent?

Ready Camp is located at 47 of our Camping and Caravanning Club Sites across the length and breadth of Britain, our sites also offer camping pitches for tents, trailer tent, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Should your friends wish to join you in their own camping unit, they can book a pitch.
