No, your caravan isn’t covered but your third party liability is covered whilst the caravan is attached to your car. Let’s explain. If you’re involved in a road accident whilst towing your caravan and it’s found to be your fault, your car insurance policy will only cover you for losses sustained by a third party. It doesn’t cover any damage sustained by your caravan. Also, in the event that your caravan is damaged or stolen when detached from the towing vehicle, there is no cover provided by a car insurance policy.
