What is Glamping?
First added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2016, the word glamping is popularly understood as “glamorous camping”. For us, glamping is when a night under the stars coincides with minimal setup and modern comforts. Forget packing the tent and mallet, with any of our glamping choices you’ll be able to move right into a pre-erected shelter, giving you that extra bit of time to get out and explore. Our glamping options are all about making the most of the great outdoors, breathing fresh countryside air and having a homely base to call your own.
Why should you try glamping?
Are you new to camping and want to give it a go before buying a unit of your own? Just looking for one easy weekend away from a busy lifestyle? Glamping offers an easy way to camp in the great outdoors but with a little extra style and comfort.

- Although switching off technology and reconnecting with nature is fantastic for your mental health, we know that’s not always possible which is why the majority of our campsites offer WiFi, usually at no extra charge.

Who can go glamping?
The answer to this is simple…everyone!
- Glamping’s great for all age ranges, from tiny tots to grandmas and grandads.
- We have a number of Ready Camp tents that can have handy ramps installed to make them wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately limited manoeuvring space may make Ready Camp unsuitable for some people. Find out more.
- Ashbourne, Keswick, Skye, Bellingham, Teversal and Ravenglass Club Sites all have dog-friendly glamping accommodation.
Can you go glamping in the winter?
Yes! Many of our cabins, pods, yurts and safari tents are open all year round. There’s nothing like being out in the cold, exploring your surroundings and walking back into a cosy haven. With heaters, plenty of blankets and well-insulated accommodation, there’s no reason why glamping needs to end once the summer months are over.
