All about the Club

Established in 1901, The Camping and Caravanning Club is the world's oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping. Our aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring and we are proud to have over 700,000 members who agree!

We invest for our members

The Camping and Caravanning Club is a not-for-profit organisation, which means that every penny spent with us is invested back into improving facilities and services for our members. We love tent, caravan and motorhome camping and we want to pass that passion onto you, whether you’re a seasoned camper or are trying it out for the first time.

Below you'll find details of the staff directors and their responsibilities.

Sabina Voysey

Director General
Sabina joined the Club in 2002 and was appointed Director General in 2019. She is  responsible for all aspects of the Club’s activities, which includes serving as Secretary to National Council, the Executive Committee and Management Committee, and is also Chairman of Camping in the Forest, a joint venture with Forestry England and Forestry and Land Scotland.

Darren Whittington

Director of Operations
Darren is responsible for all of the Club’s operations, which includes UK Club Sites, Overseas products, Membership, Member Services and the Club’s UK Service Centre. He joined the Club in 2007 and is Secretary to the Sites and Franchising Committees, International Committee and the National Youth Committee.

Nicola Simpson

Director of Marketing & Insight
Nicola joined the organisation in February 2020 and is responsible for the Club’s marketing activities. Her department looks after pricing, market research, marketing including digital marketing, public relations and communications, external relations and publications including the Club’s magazine. Nicola is the Secretary to the Communications Committee and the National Feast of Lanterns Sub-Committee.

Emma Catterall

Director of Finance, Business Systems and HR
Emma is the newest member of the Club’s Senior Leadership Team having joined in November 2020. She is responsible for the Club’s HR team, the Finance Department and the IT infrastructure through the Business Systems Department. Emma is the Secretary to the Administration Committee.
