The Camping and Caravanning Club run Camping in the Forest sites on behalf of Forestry England and Forestry and Land Scotland. Providing unrivalled woodland campsites in some of the UK's most stunning forests.

Camping in the Forest offers 16 idyllic forest campsites throughout England and Scotland. With a variety of facilities on offer ranging from full facility, to more back to basics camping, there is something for everyone. View the brochure or browse by location below.

Aldridge Hill Campsite

Deep in the New Forest, this beautiful locations selling point is unspoilt simplicity. The stream that runs alongside this campsite is a focal point- look out for free roaming ponies and cattle around here.

Ashurst Campsite

Set in a beautiful New Forest oak glade, Ashurst provides the best in family-friendly camping. This level-grounded site is located on the eastern side of the New Forest and close to the village of Ashurst, making it the perfect woodland retreat.

Bracelands Campsite

With panoramic views across the River Wye on one side and the wide expanse of the forest on the other, Bracelands campsite really is perfectly placed. The copper beech trees are a striking feature of this spacious site which has a relaxed and informal atmosphere and the kids will love having lots of wide-open green space to play in. Bracelands caters for everyone, with glamping options available, making pitching up a doddle.

When we say you’ll be camping on the banks of Loch Lomond, we mean it. Situated right on the banks of the loch (close enough for a morning paddle), Cashel campsite is the perfect location from which to appreciate the breathtaking scenery of western Scotland.

Glenmore is located right by the sandy beach of Loch Morlich which is in the heart of the Scottish Cairngorms. Its lake-side location gives both access to a range of watersports and plenty of walking trails for a gentler holiday.

Situated on the southernmost tip of the New Forest, this picturesque site has the best of both worlds. There are acres of woodlands and grassland for the kids to explore and the unspoilt beach at Barton on Sea is just a ten minute drive away.

Our Sherwood Pines campsite can be found near the ancient woodland of Sherwood Forest. You may have heard of the legend of Robin Hood, well, this is the forest behind the story. As well as the myth and tales connected to the beautiful woodland here, there are many more reasons to go camping in Sherwood Forest.
